Scrappy Applique
Scrappy Applique is a fun, fast and forgiving workshop great for quilters of any level. This collaged raw-appliqué class teaches several machine finishing options. This class is perfect for beginner quilters as well as more advanced students where students will learn Shannon Brinkley’s simple and fun raw-edge & faux turned applique technique. Students will be able to choose from a variety of templates/patterns.
Participants can make a wall hanging or bring a zipper and make an adorable pillow. The appliqué can also be attached to a tote or jacket as other alternatives. These are approximately 18” x 18” but can be adjusted depending on background.
Kit and pattern is included in the class materials fee. Please read the Scrappy Applique class supply list. Sewing machines are optional for this class.

| Instructor Bio: | Regina is an award-winning mixed media artist with a teaching certificate in Art and a MA in Communication with an emphasis on Education. Over the past twenty years, she has taught hundreds of people, including children, adults, beginners and experienced artisans, all over the world. In addition to traveling to offsite groups, she has a small studio in Hempstead, TX and offer small group classes there periodically. For the past eight years she has taught DIY Paint & Craft events throughout Texas. Additionally, she is a QOV Volunteer (Montgomery Lone Stars), runs a Modern/Art Bee for Tri-County Quilt Guild, and is a Shannon Brinkley Scrappy Appliqué Certified Instructor & Sew Kind of Wonderful Certified Instructor and formerly a Fabric Consultant for Riley Blake Designs. Her focus is to encourage creativity and help individuals find courage to explore possibilities. |
